First Indian meal
The Amber Fort
Remnants
Outside the winter hang out section of the palace. A single match could light up the whole room because of all the mirrors on every surface!
Tanner and Darwyn stroll through one of the forts.

India is incredible! The roads are insane... Everyone drives in the middle of the road and there are cows and dogs and people and sometimes pigs and camels all over the place. And everyone honks every 5 seconds. It's quite stressful, but I just ignore it and subconsciously pray to the traffic gods for my life.
The food is amazing!!!!!!! Every time we have a meal we are so happy. Being careful about water and uncooked veggies. So far pretty good tummy-wise..
The day after we arrived in Jaipur we met up with our friends Tanner, Mina, and Lian. They are staying with friends here so we got to tag along with them on a jam-packed tour of the city! What amazing guides!! We got to see the pink city (the old city, within a wall and call the buildings have to be painted terra cotta-pink), a few super cool forts and palaces, and do a little shopping. It was an amazing day! We saw elephants too. Then Mina's family friend took us out for a delicious dinner. We were very tired out by the end of the day, but I think we are mostly over out jet lag now.
We saw the City Palace yesterday, which has an amazing weapons museum section. Everything is very intricately carved and decorated. There are also some very old clothes from the old rulers. One king was about 2.5m wide. His pants were very large.
Jaipur is the capital of jewelry, silver, and stones. We have been shopping in the jewelry bazaar street, at a jewelry trade show, and at our new friend's jewelry factory!! Looking forward to making more jewelry when we get home. And we just bought some new Indian clothes so we can blend in a bit better (or at least try to).
We will be spending a couple more days in Jaipur, then going on to see the Taj, and then on to Varanasi. After that plans are up in the air!
